BYOV dumps you into an empty worldspace, and uses strictly preexisting game assets, to allow you to build a makeshift Vault. Vault Tec vs Build Your Own Vault, for example. Each DLC, even Workshop, Contraptions and Vault Tec added something which modders had not, and those few mods which were released with similar mechanics, were not on the same level. They add nothing new that modders havent already done 10x betterĮxcept Far Harbor it has nice story and atmosphere
